Steve BaisingerStephen “Steve” Rolf Baisinger, 71, passed away on September 27, 2016 at Yakima Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 29, 1945 in Seattle, WA to Art and Fran Baisinger. Steve grew up in Seattle and attended Roosevelt High School. He married Kay Troupe in 1965 and together they had 2 daughters, Heidi and Gretchen. They were later divorced. After several weeks of “gloomy weekend weather in Seattle” in 1971 Steve decided to move to the drier side of Washington State and settled in Yakima. He was a certified automatic fire sprinkler contractor and, in 1978, co-founder of Inland Fire Protection with his cousin Mark Evans, retiring in 2001.

Steve married his wife Nancy in 1986 in their home in Terrace Heights where they’ve lived for almost 31 years.

Verna (Ronnie) Schiffner, 73, of Selah, WA passed away on April 26, 2013. She was born on March 22, 1940 in Yakima, WA to Harry & Rose (Miller) Lagervall. The family moved to Selah, WA in 1937.

Verna enjoyed attending Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Selah. She loved dancing, music, entertaining, camping, and the Vintiques Car Club, and she was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was a wonderful cook and caretaker for her late husband Dick Schiffner for many years, and also volunteered at the Food Bank. Survived by her 4 children, Stephan Madsen, Tina

wesley joseyYAKIMA - Wesley Josey, 66, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 17, 1944 in Corning, California to James and Georgia Josey. The family settled in Naches, Washington in 1957.
Wes graduated from Naches High School with the class of 1963. He was a loyal and dependable friend who you could always count on to lend a helping hand. He maintained a special lifelong relationship with his two best friends from high school, Darrell Montgomery and Larry Buchanan. Wes married Lavonne Howell on March 5, 1966
