schliepmikeMichael Freddie "Mike" Schliep, 70, of Yakima, passed away on September 11, 2012 at University of Washington Hospital in Seattle.

Mike was born on June 8, 1942 in Richland, Washington, to Alfred C. and Elsie M. Schliep. When he was a small child, the family moved to Halloway, Minnesota.

Mike always loved things with motors. When he was old enough he helped fix motors around the farm.

The family moved back to Yakima when he was 12 years old. He attended Washington Jr. High and graduated from Davis High in 1960. He and Pat were married on July 29, 1961,

ronhafsosRonald K. Hafsos, 74, died at his home in Selah on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Ron was born in Yakima, Washington on December 29, 1940 to Russell Kenneth and Helen Fay (Davis) Hafsos and attended West Valley High School. Ron worked for Sunfair Chevrolet in the parts department for several years. Ron’s career with the Yakima County Department of Corrections was from 1984 until his retirement in 2003. Ron was an avid camper and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Vintiques Car Club for many years as well as the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter M. He was also very influential in the annual Hobo feed at Longmire

Sara Clements, 39, of Sunnyside died Friday at her home. Survivors include her husband, Wade, of Sunnyside; her daughters, Emily Suzanne and Shontee June of Sunnyside; her brothers, Owen and Alan Pence of Oregon; and her parents, Rene and Maxine Pence of Oregon.

lemarrshaneShane Carl Lemarr, a resident of The Dalles, Oregon, lost his longtime battle with cancer at his home in the company of his family on September 1, 2014. Shane was born in The Dalles on March 28, 1971. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Clarabelle Lemarr. Shane is survived by his soulmate, Shanna Rice; son Nathaniel; mother Denise; father Ron (and wife Elvis); brother Jerry Lemarr; and niece Harley. Shane worked for many years as a landscape project manager, where he expressed his creative nature of bringing the beauty of the land into your back yard. Shane enjoyed drawing, painting, gardening, and his ’38 and ’56 Chevys.
