He was raised and educated in Cowiche, WA, graduating from Highland High School in 1971 and later graduated from CWU. On October 11, 1975 he married Cindy Brathovde. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades. He built the family home in Cowiche, where he and Cindy raised their two daughters, Andrea and Kristen. Mike was proud to have served in the US Army, as a Yakima Policeman, and as a Yakima Fireman as well as a longtime volunteer for the Cowiche Fire Department. Mike had an

He served in the U.S. Army and was later employed by Paxton Sales and Service. Mr. Evans also worked in construction on the White Pass ski lift and for Wikstrom Motors. He also owned and operated Evans Nursery. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Evans of Yakima; three daughters, Pam Matheny, Elaine Lyon and Tam Edmonston, all of Yakima; six grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Smith of Grandview. A funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with interment at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Keith was born November 22, 1946 and was raised in the Yakima Valley by his parents, Arthur and Neva Hallauer.
