Beverly Joan Hoffman died April 14, 2019 from a long struggle with Corticobasal Degeneration.

She was born April 18, 1938 in Wagner, South Dakota, coming to Washington in 1949. She met and married Dale Hoffman in 1970.

She enjoyed camping, golfing, and after retiring, motor-homing South for the winter with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and daughter, Debra. She is survived by her husband, Dale Hoffman, sisters, Myrna and Carol, daughter, Pamela, son, Michael, stepdaughters, Tara, Amy, and Mandy, and grandchildren.

Martin Curtis Thacker left this world on September 7, 2017. He is now with the love of his life, his wife, Daray. Martin was born December 21, 1946, to Curtis and Tess Thacker. After attending A.C. Davis High School he was drafted into the Marines. He was wounded in Vietnam and returned home. His military decorations were as follows: Purple Heart, National Defense Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one star and the Good Conduct Medal. Martin was very proud of being a Marine, and as such he was active in the Marine Corps League until his health prevented him from attending. He was also a member of the Yakima County Sheriff Citizen Patrol along with his wife Daray.

everettwalkerEverett M Walker passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family, on May 22, 2017 at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

Everett was born October 21, 1943 in Providence, Rhode Island to Ralph and Ethel Walker. He and his older brother, Curtis, spent their childhood making mischief in Rhode Island until they moved all the way to the west coast. Settling in Salem, OR, Everett’s first job was as a stock boy at a local grocery store; he would later work for such grocery juggernauts as Del Monte, Nabisco, and Darigold. He graduated from South Salem High School in 1961.

Daniel Leon Naasz, 64, passed away at his home in Hesperia, CA on October 12, 2016. Daniel was born September 11, 1952 in Yakima, WA to Harold and Jackie Naasz. He attended Auburn High School and graduated in 1970. He began his career at BNSF Railway in 1977 where he worked in 9 states and Canada and retired from in July 2012.

In 1974 he welcomed his first daughter, Brandi. He married Sharon in 1978, having two more children, Kelli in 1981 and Kiel in 1988. Dan made his home in Yakima, WA where he lived until 2009 when he moved to California.

nelson chuckCharles (Chuck) Nelson, age 86, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born September 14, 1930 in Lindsay, CA to Charles H. and Ollie M. Nelson. He was the oldest of four children: Chuck, Shirley, Evelyn and Donald.

While growing up in the Lindsay/Strathmore area he helped with the family dairy and worked in his uncle Jim’s orange groves. The Nelson family moved to the West Valley area of Yakima when he graduated from high school where they farmed and started apple orchards. Within a few years the family built a small apple packing warehouse on Fisk Road.
